I have gotten out irregularly during the last several months and have just recently gotten my software updated to allow for post.  I am including some photographs of several birds I have encountered over the late summer and fall season to date.

I found Lincoln’s Sparrows to be quite regular in many locales this fall with them being observed in Highland, Rockingham, Henrico and Charles City Counties.  Some photographs are as follows:

I spent time during the summer evenings walking in Goochland County, Virginia.  It proved to be an “emerald” type summer for odonates as I netted 3 different species on some evenings.
