Illinois River Cruiser (Macromia illinoiensis illinoiensis)

Identification: Northern form- No frontal thoracic stripes, interrupted yellow band on S2 both dorsally and laterally, S7 yellow with an almost complete band. Note the yellow facial stripe and the limited yellow lateral spotting on S8, S9 and dorsally on S3, S4. The male is clubbed at S8, S9.
