Forster's Tern
Identification: Note in worn juvenile plumage (1st photo) the unique black face mask from in front of the eyes to the ear coverts. The bill is orangish based with black tip. The legs are an orangish color. Note also the dark centered tertials and the dark edged primaries.
The adult plumaged bird (2nd photo) has a complete black cap, orange based bill with black tip, longish orange legs, silvery-gray mantle and white underparts and the wings have distinct pale gray primaries.
