Dragonhunter (Hagenius brevistylus)
Identification: Our largest Clubtail at approximately 3.3". Note the two (2) bright yellow wide lateral thoracic stripes, the bright green eyes and the yellow face. The abdomen is marked dorsally by yellow streaks though S8 and then laterally on S8 & S9. The abdomen forms a substantial club in the male, widening at S7 through S10. In flight and perched note the male's club bent down in a J shape.
