Common Yellowthroat

Identification: A small warbler of thickets, brush and marsh. The male has a broad black mask that stretches from check to check spanning the forehead. It is bordered with a pale blue wash above and bright yellow below which extends to the upper chest. The crown, back and abdomen are an olive gray. The wings and tail have yellow edging.

The female is a light tannish brown on top and has a yellow throat and upper breast and yellow undertail coverts.
