Common Goldeneye

Identification: Male has green head (as observed in good light), golden eyes, high peaked crown and a round white spot at base of the bill. The neck, chest, flanks and upper side (the wings secondaries) are extensively white. The Common Goldeneye is a diving duck and frequents rivers and bays.
