American Pipit

Identification: Variable dark streaking from chest down the flanks, faintly streaked back, long slender bill, dark legs, white outer tail feathers and its walking around fields and beaches with bobbing tail distinguish this bird. In alternate plumage the birds acquire a buffy coloration to the chest and belly.
