American Kestrel

Identification: Male- our smallest falcon, note the reddish back and top of crown, blue-gray wings, patterned face, light buffy
breast with spotting.

Female- note the patterned face, the rufous back and wings with barring and the rufous brown streaking from the throat down the breast.
