American Elk (Cervus canadensis)

Identification: The 2nd largest deer in North America. The rump is a light buffy color, the head, shoulders and neck are a dark brown and the fur in between dependent upon season can be reddish-brown to grayish-tan. Males during the fall and winter have large antlers.
